Arrival at Tenerife South Airport & transfer to Los Cristianos

Once you have landed at Tenerife South Airport you have several options to get to the ferry port at Los Cristianos. The most comvenient option is a taxi, rental car, or Autobuses Mesa´s comvenient shuttle transfer. There are usually enough taxis in front of the airport and the trip to the ferry port costs around Euro 25,00 - Euro 30,00. Depending on the road conditions, you will need a good 20 to 25 minutes.

You can pick up your pre-booked rental car directly at the airport, where most of the major rental car providers have their offices.

Alternatively, you can pre-book your transfer with Autobuses Mesa. After your arrival at the Tenerife South airport, a coach will be waiting for you, which will take you and the other guests to the ferry port at Los Cristianos - and then later to your booked apartment in San Sebastián (including ferry tickets).

But you can also take a public bus. Five different connections are available here and the journey to the port, which is about 17 kilometers away, takes 20 to 35 minutes, depending on the bus line. However, the buses do not go directly to the port, you would then have to walk a good few minutes.

Crossing to La Gomera & arrival in San Sebastián

The two ferry companies Fred Olsen and Naviera Armas connect the two islands of Tenerife and La Gomera at regular intervals. The crossing takes between 45 and 60 minutes and each company offers a maximum of three crossings per day - only twice on weekends and public holidays.

You can buy tickets in advance online or directly at the ticket office in Los Cristianos. If you have used the Autobuses Mesa service, then the ferry tickets are already included in the price. You will need a valid ID card or passport to board the ferry.

Arriving at the port in San Sebastián, you have the option of continuing your journey by rental car, taxi, public bus or Autobuses Mesa.
